CT angiogram of arteries/veins

 

▪ A CT angiogram explores cerebral arteries, the thoracic and abdominal aorta, the lower limbs, etc.

▪ MIP (maximum intensity projection) reconstruction techniques

▪ VR (volume rendering) reconstruction techniques

 

This study is directed to multiple arterial and venous structures including the aorta, arteries of the head and neck, as well as abdominal arteries, pulmonary arteries and body venous structures, being able to detect pathology such as atheromatous arteriopathy or thrombi in lower limbs or even in lung.

 

This type angiographic examination requires the use of intravenous contrast.
