Functional dysphonia is the hoarseness or dysphonia that is caused by dysfunction in our vocal organs, and so the solution is to correct the defect in how we use our voice.
This vocal misuse and abuse tends to be the beginning of the dysphonia seen in voice professionals. If the situation is not correct, it can trigger in an organic pathology.
This disorder is characterised by interrupted or “jumpy” voice, and it is associated with other neurological disorders such as dystonia, Parkinson’s, and brain diseases.
Treatment: Neuromodulator is the most appropriate treatment for patients with this condition.
This is very frequent disorder that primarily occurs in boys and depends on many factors such as family environment, maturity, the child’s character or vocal strain. Therefore, it is very important to pinpoint the problem in order to find a solution.
Presbyphonia is associated with aging and is caused by atrophy of the muscles of the vocal organs. It is characterised by a weak, breathy voice and reduced pitch, and it is not the result of previous trauma or surgery. Depending on the degree of atrophy, we have multiple therapeutic weapons for treating this problem.
