Between the human and the divine
When great battles come in life, there are people who cling to the divine. I am more of the human, of the earthly geniuses. Of those who dedicate their efforts and their time to saving lives. And in my case I am clear that there is one in particular that has saved my life twice: and that is you.
And if they say that God gives us life, how do we name who has saved my life twice? I do not know if there is a word that defines it or that it serves to thank you for giving me the possibility to continue in this world, to enjoy the small and big things of everyday life, to see my daughter grow up, to be with the who love me, to travel, to work …
No, there are definitely no words for that. They all fall short.
But the gratitude is ENORRRRMEEE: because thanks to you I am still alive and that gift is priceless. I know that I still have a long way to go before revisions, controls, to always feel on the tightrope, but from your hand everything is easier.
Thank you for dedicating your life to trying to win the battle against cancer, for your professionalism, for your exquisite human treatment and your great ability to transmit tranquility. People like you make the world a little better, they give us back the confidence in the human being.
I feel really lucky to have the luck of having you as an oncologist.
And between the earthly and the divine, as a sign of my infinite gratitude, we bring you these earthly but divine wines that we have chosen with great affection. We hope you enjoy them with those who love you and are part of happy moments, because if I learned something from the damned cancer, life is made up of little happy moments that you have to squeeze and savor to the fullest, because they are the ones that charge the batteries and help us cope with the not so happy.
THANKS, THANKS AND THANKS DR. CORTES!!!
With love:
I.O.Z.
