Gastroscopy

Diagnostic Gastroscopy:

▪ Diagnosis and monitoring of diseases that affect the oesophagus.
▪ Reflux oesophagitis/Barrett’s oesophagus.
▪ Oesophagitis due to the ingestion of caustic substances.
▪ Stenosis (strictures), benign and malignant.
▪ Oesophageal varices.
▪ Gastric and peptic ulcers.
▪ Gastritis and hiatal hernia.
▪ Polyps and Gastric cancer.
▪ Vascular wounds and bezoars.
▪ Diagnosis of diseases that affect the stomach and duodenum.

Therapeutic Gastroscopy:

▪ Extraction of oesophageal and gastric foreign bodies.

▪ Dilatation of stenosis (strictures) of the oesophagus.
▪ Endoscopic treatment of achalasia.
