Chemotherapy service

Chemotherapy is used to treat different types of cancer. The facilities at HC Marbella offer the convenience and comfort that patients need during their chemotherapy treatments. In our Day Hospital, patients can be treated on an outpatient basis and accompanied by their relatives.

Using the latest drugs, the Oncology Unit has access to new therapeutic targets, including monoclonal antibodies, biological therapies, hormonal therapies and combinations of chemotherapy agents.

Hydration Service

In recent years hydration techniques for cancer patients has advanced.

Transfusion Service

Blood transfusions are sometimes necessary in order to raise the low levels of haemoglobin in a patient, whether caused by blood loss during surgery, lesions or illness, or because the patient’s body is not making enough blood.

A transfusion means that donated blood is added to the patient’s own blood through an intravenous drip into a vein in the arm.
