Neuromodulator injection

A neuromodulator treatment is usually performed while the patient is awake. The needle passes through the cricothyroid membrane and enters the glottis, where the vocal muscles are located and where neuromodulator is deposited.

 

It is a minimally invasive technique that takes approximately 20 minutes. There is little discomfort. It is the treatment of choice for spasmodic dysphonia.
