Cysts and tumours of the cervical spine

Mid-cervical tumouration generally appears near the laryngeal skeleton, causing fever, overall discomfort, localized pain and possibly a fistula on the skin. Treatment involves full removal of the cyst to prevent recurrence.

 

Tracheostomy

A tracheostomy is a procedure used to create a breathing stoma, or artificial hole, in the skin at base of the neck to allow patients to breathe.
