The eyes have a significant impact on the overall appearance of a face. Eyelid surgery can remove bags and excess skin from underneath and above the eyes. During surgery on the upper eyelids, the plastic surgeon makes incisions along the natural lines and folds of the skin and then separates the skin from the underlying muscle and fatty tissue. Once they are separated, the excess skin (which causes wrinkles) and fat is removed and/or sculpted, and the incisions are then closed.
During surgery on the lower eyelids, the incision is often made on the interior rim of the eyelid. The small pads of fat that cause bags are removed. No visible incision is made and no stitches are required. Wrinkles and crow’s feet can be eliminated by laser resurfacing during the same procedure, giving the patient an even more youthful appearance.
Fuller lips help make a face look more feminine and youthful.
A lip lift involves removing a section of skin just below the nose, shortening the distance between the nose and upper lip. Lifting the lip also exposes more lip area and makes the lip protrude upwards, giving it a fuller appearance. It may also expose the upper teeth by about 3-4 mm.
Additionally, filler material can be inserted at the time of surgery or afterward. In our experience the best filler material is the patient’s own fat, which is obtained by autologous fat transfer, in which fatty tissue is aspirated through liposuction at the belly.
A portion of the fat grafts will be reabsorbed, but the rest will be permanent and result in a very natural look.
The nose is the face’s most prominent feature. By refining the nose, a patient’s appearance can be significantly improved by making the eyes look larger and emphasising the cheeks.
Standard rhinoplasty techniques can be used to make the nose smaller and give it a more female shape. The type of skin in the nasal area can determine the outcome of the procedure.
Rhinoplasty is a highly individualised procedure and requires a comprehensive assessment of the bone and cartilaginous structures that make up the nose.
The lack of prominent cheeks can cause an imbalance in facial harmony that makes a face unattractive. Prominent cheeks are often associated with feminine beauty, and therefore augmenting them will result in a more feminine face.
In general, women have fuller and more rounded cheeks, giving their face a heart shape.
When performing cheek augmentation, our team only uses porous polyethylene implants. This implant’s porous structure allows bone tissue to grow inside it, which keeps the implant in place.
