The causes of mental illness are not always straightforward. Scientific evidence suggests that various factors (such as inherited, environmental, psychological, and biological—related to molecules or structures of the brain) are mixed in varying degrees in the origins of a number of mental illnesses or psychiatric disorders.
Our team of psychiatrists provides relief to people suffering from mental illness using a number of different therapeutic techniques:
– Psychopharmacological therapy, Medication with various effects on the brain.
– Psychotherapy, this talk therapy aims to modify how we experience emotions, our ways of thinking or behaving.
– Social therapy, various techniques have the aim of improving the patient’s adjustment to their environment.
The care provided by this service consists of managing patients on an outpatient basis as well as the possibility of admitting patients to hospital and providing consultations for hospitalized patients.
We establish personal treatment plans once adequate evaluation, diagnosis and assessment of each case has taken place.
A comprehensive team consisting of a psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist and occupational therapist is responsible for monitoring the patient daily.
