A dental scan is a technology that allows us to study 3D images of your jaws and cross-sections of your teeth in 360 degrees.

This imaging technique offers countless advantages to dentists and maxillofacial surgeons. Having an accurate and complete view of your teeth and bones decreases the rate of complications. In addition, these technologies have been used with great success in the evaluation of implants, cysts, tumours and surgical procedures.

A dental scan is indicated for patients who are candidates for any type dental implant surgery. The results will give the oral surgeon crucial information about your oral anatomy that cannot be obtained from ordinary dental x-rays.

After the scan you will receive a report with life-size panoramic and oblique images in different planes, with all the axial cuts and without reprocessing or reconstruction, which makes it possible to assess bone quantity and volume.

In addition, the report contains the width and height of the mandible, as well as showing the location of nerves and other structures, in accordance with the request of the dental specialist
