Our CT scanner lets us perform diagnostics of primary lesions and determine metastatic evolution with specialised software for comparing oncology studies.
Our multi-slice CT scanner has a browser, which collects all results and measurements relating to each individual patient.
CT scans are used in oncology in many different ways:
▪ To detect the development of any kind of anomaly
▪ To diagnose the presence of a tumour
▪ To get information about the stage (spread) of a cancer
▪ To guide a biopsy procedure
▪ To help plan radiotherapy as well as surgery
▪ To study the effectiveness of cancer treatment
▪ To detect a tumour relapse
Numerous studies have shown that CT scans are effective in the early detection and screening of colorectal cancer (including the detection of polyps) and lung cancer.
