Prostate Unit

In Spain, prostate cancer is the most common malignant tumour in men. The condition usually develops in elderly men, 90% of cases are diagnosed in those over the age of 65.
 
According to European statistics, it has been established that currently one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point during their life. Presently, most patients are diagnosed at an early stage of the disease, with curative treatment being the aim.
 
Early detection is essential to increase the likelihood of curative treatment. Annual screening for early diagnosis is recommended from the age of 45.
 
The multidisciplinary team of urologists, radiologists, oncologists and radiation oncologists at HC Marbella’s Prostate Unit is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer with the aim of providing our patients with a comprehensive service.
