Dolor Espalda

Most people will suffer back pain at some point in their lives, affecting the activities of daily life, their mood, their effectiveness to work … and, ultimately, their quality of life.

Tasks as simple as tying shoes, climbing stairs, carrying the purchase or getting into the car can become painful or even impossible.

Pain can occur in two ways:

Sudden Acute Pain: a stitch that hinders movement and usually lasts less than 6 weeks.

• Consistently, Chronic Pain, may be prolonged for more than 3 months.

Among the types of pains are:

Low back pain, is the most frequent, neck pain and back pain.

The back pain can have several different causes:

The low back pain can be caused by a muscle contracture, by a herniated disc, by a vertebral fracture or by a sciatica (very strong pain that runs along the back of the leg and is due to compression of the sciatic nerve).

Most neck pains occur due to muscle inflammation or joint dysfunction.

Other cause of pain is osteoarthritis, this is due to a degeneration of the cartilage in the joints and the abnormal curvatures of the column Kyphoisis, Lordosis, Scoliosis.

It is advisable to consult the doctor to make a diagnosis and confirm the origin of these pains. However, you shall make the consultation urgently if any of these symptoms appear:

Loss of sensitivity: Failing to feel any area of the back may indicate that the nerves of the area are being involved, so it could be a serious ailment. The visit to the doctor in this case is obligatory.

Back pain with difficulty urinating, fever or numbness of the legs. This symptom may be hiding more than just a backache.

Intense pain after a fall: After a trauma, the possibility of having broken a bone or having injured us in any way is very great.

There are certain factors that influence back pain:

1. The age is a decisive factor since the lumbar pain is presented as we get older, therefore, it is common for pain to begin in adulthood between 30 and 40 years.

2. The posture.

3. The overweight that puts more pressure on the lower back.Labor activities that require greater strength, such as lifting or pushing heavy objects.

4. Stress.

5. The pregnancy.

6. Habits such as smoking, poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, etc …
